The five wealth-management role types

SBI advertisement CRPD/SCO/2026-27/25 covers six contract vacancies across five role types: Head Sales, Central Research Team Product Lead, Manager Business Process, Project Development Manager Technology and Central Operations Team Support. There are two Product Lead seats and one in each other role. The duties span different parts of a wealth-management operation, so an applicant should identify the relevant post before comparing education, experience or age requirements.

Registration deadline has been extended

SBI's current recruitment page and application portal give 31 October 2026 for registration and payment. The original detailed PDF still prints 21 October. This is a useful distinction: read the role conditions in the advertisement together with the bank's subsequent official update. Complete the form and any required payment by the extended portal deadline, and save the confirmation rather than relying on a screenshot of a draft application.

Education and experience must match the post

There is no single qualification or experience rule for this entire recruitment. The notice uses graduation, management, technology and professional finance pathways according to the job. Experience thresholds range from three to 15 years and include further functional conditions. For example, the technology post requires relevant banking-technology experience, while Central Operations Support requires financial-services experience that includes wealth-management central operations. Teaching and training experience do not count towards eligibility under this notice.

Head Sales and Product Lead: exact essential routes

Head Sales requires an MBA/PGDM from the specified institutions and at least 15 years managing sales teams in wealth management, retail banking or AMCs. This includes eight years leading a large relationship-manager and team-lead team under the notice's conditions. Product Lead requires MBA/PGDM or CA/CFA and at least five years in equity research or products in wealth management, AMCs or banks. The preferred certifications and longer research experience are additional preferences, not replacements for those essential routes.

Business process, technology and operations: exact routes

Manager Business Process requires MBA/PGDM and five years in banks, wealth-management firms or broking firms. Project Development Manager Technology accepts the listed engineering or management qualifications and requires four years in banking technology, preferably a business function. Central Operations Support requires graduation and three years in the specified financial-services activities, including two years in wealth-management central operations. The duties respectively emphasise process and CRM delivery, coordination with technology partners, and accurate daily operations such as reconciliation and AMC coordination.

Age bands and application choice

Age is assessed on 31 August 2026. The published ranges are 40–52 for Head Sales, 30–45 for Product Lead, 30–40 for Manager Business Process, 25–40 for Project Development Manager Technology and 30–40 for Central Operations Support. The notice sets category and relaxation conditions separately. Applicants may apply for more than one post if they independently satisfy all the requirements of each, unlike some other SBI specialist advertisements that restrict the choice to one.

Location, contract and remuneration

Mumbai is the suggested posting, with wider posting discretion. The notice sets a five-year contract, potentially renewable for four more at SBI's discretion and subject to its conditions. Annual CTC upper limits are ₹199 lakh for Head Sales, ₹77.20 lakh for Product Lead, ₹47.20 lakh for Manager Business Process and Project Development Manager Technology, and ₹37.20 lakh for Central Operations Support. These are negotiable upper limits, including the relevant components, not guaranteed offers or monthly take-home amounts.

Shortlisting, interviews and CTC negotiation

The process comprises shortlisting, one or more personal or video interviews, and CTC negotiation. The interview carries 100 marks and SBI determines qualifying standards. Meeting the essential criteria does not guarantee a call. Merit is prepared from interview performance under the bank's rules. Negotiation can occur during the interview stage or separately, and a candidate who declines the offered CTC may exit the recruitment process as described in the notice.

Application documents and fee

Use the official SBI recruitment portal for this specific advertisement. Upload the résumé, biodata, qualification and experience evidence, identity and age documents, and applicable category or disability certificates. The fee is ₹750 for UR/EWS/OBC candidates; SC/ST/PwBD applicants are exempt. Hard copies are not required. Applicants serving the organisations specified in the notice should also review the No Objection Certificate requirement for the interview stage.

Application guidance for experienced wealth professionals

Prepare a role-specific career summary rather than one generic application for every vacancy. Sales candidates can distinguish assets, client segments and team leadership; product candidates can explain research and product responsibilities; operations candidates can describe controls and processing experience. Include dates and evidence for the minimum tenure. These are editorial suggestions for making relevant experience understandable, not an extra portfolio requirement or a promise that any particular metric ensures shortlisting.
