Responsibilities and work described

• In this position, you’ll take a central role in the development of new high-voltage GaN products
• Have a strongly cross-functional experience by interfacing with internal wafer foundry, quality and marketing departments and external OSATs
• Help our team allocate the materials and coordinate the movement of multiple GaN engineering lots through wafer fab, packaging OSAT, testing OSAT and qualification
• You’ll help us draft test plans and analyze test results, gaining insight into GaN products and technologies
• You’ll help us define development strategies and take critical decisions, closely interacting with California, and with the fabrication facilities in Japan and Southeast Asia
• Coordination: the movement of multiple GaN product engineering lots through wafer fab, assembly, and testing
• Quality / delivery: timely project execution from start to finish
• Allocate materials to meet qualification and customer sampling plans
• Analysis: on-wafer and in-package test results
• Quality / delivery: compliance with design specifications
• Drive root cause investigation for performance, quality or yield issues
• Generate reports for internal and external communication
• Maintenance: up-to-date GANTT charts with project schedule and negotiate priorities when needed
• Tracking: and communicate project status, key results, risks, and problems

Essential requirements and candidate background

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Master’s degree + 3 years of experience)
• Familiarity: semiconductor manufacturing flow (wafer fab, probe, packaging and testing)
• Proficiency: data manipulation and analysis skill
• Familiar with JMP and MS Office
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Time management skill
• Self-motivated and adaptable
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred experience and additional strengths

• Expertise on GaN products and technologies is a plus
• Familiarity: reliability physics and failure analysis is a plus
• Familiarity: JEDEC and AEC-Q101 qualification standards is a plus
