• The Backend Software Engineer within the NIQ Activate R&D organization is a senior individual contributor role responsible for designing, developing, and scaling backend services that power innovative product solutions for our growing customer base
• Work: in a collaborative and innovation-driven environment, you will leverage modern cloud-native technologies, microservices architectures, and AI-assisted development tools to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance solutions while influencing technical direction, architecture, and engineering best practices
• Leads the design and implementation of critical systems with long-term maintainability
• Implementation: micro-services from design to production
• Take ownership of development, maintenance, testing strategy, design discussions, and operations of the team, with containerized API services
• Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment
• The end-to-end lifecycle of new product features / components
• Defines and enforces system-wide design patterns and architectural standards
• Quality / delivery: application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
• Collaborates across teams to resolve cross-functional architectural dependencies
