Responsibilities and work described

• POSITION PURPOSE
• As our Overnight Safety & Security Supervisor, you will support our Security Manager in enhancing the safety and security of our property, improving team performance, and ensuring consistent oversight of the department’s overnight operations
• Leadership: nightly safety and security operations, ensure compliance with established protocols, and serve as a vital leader within the department
• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Delivery: service within Fairmont & Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards
• Areas of responsibility will include and are not limited to the following:
• Leadership: the Overnight Safety and Security team, ensuring uninterrupted safety and security operations and aligning efforts with departmental objectives, safety protocols and company policies
• Research / execution: routine patrols to maintain a safe environment for guests, employees, and property assets
• Monitoring: and address safety hazards, security risks, and unauthorized activities
• Support: the Night Manager during emergency situations by conducting drills and managing real-time incidents
• Respond to incidents promptly and oversee the coordination of emergency responses, acting as the point of contact
• Administer first aid/CPR when necessary and coordinate with emergency medical services
• Delivery: guidance to guests and employees during emergencies, ensuring safety and order
• Oversee and monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and secure access points to maintain comprehensive surveillance
• Research / execution: and document key control audits while safeguarding sensitive information
• Quality / delivery: compliance with local and corporate safety regulations, including fire safety standards and liquor laws

Essential requirements and candidate background

• Your experience and skills include:
• Previous experience in a Security role is required
• Valid Advanced Level First Aid is an asset
• Experience: fire fighter training, WHMIS and/or other safety courses is an asset
• Communication and organization skills in Arabic & English
• Proficiency: Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel
• Ability to manage and prioritize critical tasks and work well under pressure & stressful situations
• Deal effectively with the public in conflict situations
• Highly responsible, flexible and reliable
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Experience and professional background

• Previous Safety experience is required most preferred in hospitality industry
