Responsibilities and work described

• Prime Function:
• The proper operation and maintenance of all machinery, equipment and engineering facilities of ibis, Mumbai Airport that there is no breakdown of the engineering systems
• At regular intervals, inspect the working condition of equipment and engineering systems and ensure that all standards are maintained
• Monitoring: and record utility consumption and assist the Chief Engineer to maintain efficiency
• Support: the Chief Engineer to direct and coordinate the overall activities of the Engineering Department
• Conform and adhere to the policies & procedures and rules & regulations as laid down by ibis, Mumbai Airport
• Facilitates the functioning of and / or oversees the functioning of Housekeeping Department or any other Department in the Hotel when necessitated by circumstances and as mandated by the General Manager
• This would be over and above regular stipulated responsibilities and duties
• Engineering Planning
• Support: the Chief Engineer to identify the major facilities and equipment requirements for the department and the property
• Quality / delivery: correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with the other user departments & stay abreast with the technological advances in surveillance & safety of equipment
• People Management
• Establishment: and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of ibis, Mumbai Airport to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service
• Delivery: effective support to the team to enable them to deliver effective and efficient services
• Respond to customer queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction
• Motivate and develop staff to ensure smooth functioning of the department

Essential requirements and candidate background

• Sound knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire & life safety systems, kitchen/laundry equipment, and preventive maintenance
• Knowledge: statutory compliance, safety regulations, and preventive maintenance practices
• Proficiency: Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems
• Troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns

Preferred experience and additional strengths

• Experience: an international hotel chain is preferred
